How I Work
A relational, integrative approach.
My approach can be best described as interactive and integrative. I actively engage with my clients throughout sessions and draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, internal family systems (IFS), experiential, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and somatic therapies. Treatment is ultimately customized to each client – there is no manual that we work through together.
The therapeutic relationship itself creates the safe space where change becomes possible. Within that relationship, we explore your thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and somatic (body-based) experiences — and look together at how past and present circumstances shape the patterns you notice in your life today.
"A safe space, and healthy, healing connection and relationship with a skilled therapist can have the power to repair attachment wounds, and prevent painful past experiences and patterns from playing out in the present."
My hope is that our work together helps you feel more grounded in yourself — more able to notice what you feel, name what you need, and move through the world with a clearer sense of who you are, and able to live your life more fully.
